How about a big glass of MUD?
Well yesterdays cross race was just like it should be. Mud up to your knees. That might be a little exaggerated but it was muddy. Snowed all night and then switched to rain. Made it just like a cross race should be……
With all that I was able to slip/slide my way to the finish in the top spot along with sandy. Who wraped up the points overall for the second year running. I think with yeaterdays win I'll move up for a shot at the overall too.
I’ve got some great pictures from Moab that I’ll post up later; I don’t know why I’ve not gone there more. I’m only 3 hours away. Maybe I’ll have to make it there for some good winter training. Never did hook up with Butch and the boyz. In the great state of Utah they have not got around to building cell towers yet. So I couldn’t get a handle on their 20. But still got to ride some epic trails on the epic……..

Eat'n It!
Well the boyz are partying in Moab and I’m stuck in Glenwood riding the Boy Scout….Couple of quick shots from Fruita. What’s the best thing about riding with Butch and Dave? None of us can read a map. So it was search and destroy all day. Ride an epic trail get lost and ride another. Five hours in and then we hit the “More Fun” Trail…..My tech skills suck so I ate shit at least 12 times……
When riding the ridge "Look where you want to go" This would hurt!
These trails have been added to the spring trailing program. So to those who are coming better bring your "BIG" bag of marbles!
I’m heading out tonight for some “More Fun” and maybe the “Whole Enchilada” washed down with some of Butch’s now famous warm beer!

Techno is great
When it works! My laptop took a dump and updating has been a bitch…..O-Woo’s me! LOL. Should I update the laptop or get a new one? Or maybe a new desktop. But that would cut into my Bike fund.....NEVER! Well the Velo Swap has come a gone, The Vail Swap is this weekend, Cross is ripping along (Sandy and I both stood on the steps last week-end) and I’m heading to ride with Butch and the Boyz in Fruita today. Then head to Moab for the rest of the week. Should be a blast. Those Boyz can PARTY…….
Then it more Cross this weekend…..Man can very have to much Cross!

Disco-Stu
So yesterday I was getting ready for my afternoon ride when I snapped this little ditty. It’s the “Disco-Stu” of Glenwood. He spends all his time doing his little bike riding tricks or Disco-Skating at the local park. He kind of looks like the Ultra Gay “Biker Fox”…If I had a child and this guy was in the same park. I'd look for another area to entertain my Child. Positive this is someone who’s got a huge collection of Kiddy Porn in the basement. What makes gay people act, well so……Gay? Not that there’s anything wrong with that it's just so…..Gay.
I hit the deck so many times in Saturdays cross race I felt like the “Old Ape Man” The bummer about it was I was feeling pretty good. First I took out some barriers, then stacked it up at an off camber gravel corner. So every elbow and knee has a scab on it today. I went from first to last, to top ten, to top twenty……
No racing on Sunday so I had time to just ride….so I dusted off the Epic and when out for a 4 hour fun fall ride. It was great time climbing, bombing downhill’s and getting some sun. Putting the finishing touches on my Summer Biker Tan.

Sometime you need to just relax........
The Goat has been brag’n about the hours in the seat again. Something about 18 hours in 70 deg or some BS. Well that might be true but, he has no idea how much it will hurt this winter/spring when he’s riding indoors with 30 deg.s and rain. When I’ll be logging 4 hour days in the 70 deg sunshine. The best thing about CO is it’s never COLD. Sometime you just need to relax. Beside why train when you can RACE……
Two cross races this weekend. One down in the Front Range and the other in Eagle. Should be a real puker.

Here we go.......
Ever feel like a sitting target? Everybody taking a shot when your down. I rarely have those days just thought the picture was funny. It truly is better to give then to receive.
What should I do with the 240 million in tonights lotto?

Recovery Ride
King “T” is a great sprinter but don’t you think he looks like Wallace?
Well I still feel like a bag of nuts but I'm heading up Vail Mountain for a recovery ride on the cross bike. It's snowing so it might be the last time I can bomb the 98 downhill before skiing starts.

Here is a Little note I sent to Velo News......
Just a quick note about your article regarding the struggles of the NORBA series and Cross Country Mountain Bike racing. There’s a little thing called WORS (the Wisconsin Off Road Series) established in 1992 it has grown into one of America’s largest mountain bike racing series with over a thousand participants on a given weekend. Over this past weekend the 12th race of the 2005 series was held. A little thing called the Wigwam/Ultimax Mountain Bike Challenge, hosted by the Sheboygan FAT KATS on October 9th (XC) in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. For 2005, sponsors have delivered a total cash and merchandise purse greater than $30,000! The Pro purse was over $5,000 in cash in addition to lap and hill climb primes. A car was given away and other fun things like Mountain Bikes, Car Bike Rack and alike. There’s also a small weekend race called Chequamegon cross-country with just a scant 2500 plus participants. I think if NORBA wants to survive they should look to the Midwest for a few pointers on how to build a GREAT mountain bike racing series. It sounds funny but the Mecca of mountain bike racing is becoming the Midwest. If you don’t believe me check out one of their races next year! I did and looking forward to the next.

My Christmas List …….
Well I finely got the last thing to fill my Christmas list. It’s just a little toy for the kiddies on the list.
Well it looks like I’ve got a floor to crash on this weekend. The Goats going to come pick me up at MKE and let me sleep in the back of his XB and even has a can of beans for my dinner and some PBR for breakfast. All this luxury in exchange for washing, waxing and cleaning the XB, bikes and team kits after the race. I think there’s some other slave like duties but I’m not at liberty to discuss those.

Can't wait till 08
Is there anyone more beloved? The left cry’s about how polarizing “W” is to the world but is Bill’s wife less? But enough politics.
I got my plane ticket to Wisco for the “Fat Kats” race. It’s always a good time. I don’t know how I’m getting to the race or were I'm staying yet but I’ll be in the state, so that’s a plus. I’m gone to give Goats SS a go. More on that later.

What's that smell?
The other day I had and offending smell in my office and couldn’t pin it down. I looked in every corner, under every box. No dog crap, no old sandwiches with cheese hanging around. What could it be? It wasn’t untill I went to upgrade the memory in my Trash Masher did I find the foul beast!
I guess I should clean the trailer a little more often.

Fun in the Sun
Well to wrap up this weekends racing in Crusty Butt. It was a great time. Cross racing hurts a lot but is so much fun. That will show you were my head is at. Saturday night’s race went will for me because they only had a Men’s open and a 35+ class I opt for the old mans group. Which you’d think would be slower, Right! Nope, it was a puk’r. Typical of cross we shot out of a gun and then it got faster. I was sitting comfy in a chase group when someone punched it and I shot out the back like an old lady on a three wheeler. That’s about where I sat the rest of the race running line in 8th. Sandy’s race was just as fast and furious. With the whole shot she was sitting 5th wheel and picked people off as they popped off the leader. Who was setting a pace that was wasting the field. One girl was able to sit on Sandy's wheel for a couple of laps but got shelled on a run up. Finishing with 2nd and a $150.00 payout.
The next day was a little better for me, got a great hole shot and was sitting good when my chain droped. I lost a couple of spots but was able to chase them back to finish 3rd.
Weekend Prize list
$150.00
1 pair of socks
2 pounds of Coffee
1 Frisbee
I guess you can’t beat that for doing nothing…..
