So whats the "Top of the World" look like? here yea go. But don't look to close or you'll be heading to the bottom quick. Its the kind of place you can really get in touch with yourself and not in the usual way. It’s now on my list of Fav trails. Not to long but it will knock you down a peg or two.
From Moab take hwy128 east along the Colorado River past Castle Valley. The 25 miles from town along the Colorado is worth it alone. At the Dewey Bridge hang a right into the parking area before you cross the bridge. There is a toilet available here. Mount up and ride! Don’t be a Sissy! Its 5 miles and about 1500’ of vert on a jeep road to warm you up until you hang a right on to the Kokopelli trail. Then it’s just a short 5 miles and 2000 vert to the “Top of The World”. The views are killer! And the best part, there will be no goobers here. They’ll all be riding tire to tire on the “Porcupine Rim”. You can watch them ride by from a crossed the valley. Eat your lunch on top and loose it on the way down. It’s a bomber all the way down!
So this guy passes me on I-70 with the cops hot on his tail. Must have absconded the cart from Wal-Mart
