Some days........

This morning I got up, made myself a “MM” world famous Rancheros and even washed my face. All in time for the big group ride…But it was a little cold at 10:00am. The temp was around 45deg. Yes it was sunny, but the wind was coming down the mountains yet. So I bagged the group ride and rode over to Starbucks. A triple shot for me please! Then headed over to the bike shop for an hour-long bull @%#& session and rode by myself around Noon. By that time the temp was up around 55deg. Perfect, plus I can work on my biker tan. If go out at 10:00 I’d have to wear leg warmers. Call a wuss if you like and yes, I know the Wisco boy’s were work’n it in 30degs. I don’t miss that, freeze’n your nuggets off for a few miles…Ouch! I feel for you Bro’s. Plus you know how those Wisconsin group rides can end up!
Plus today was really a recovery day, with a 4x10 tempo in the middle. So, I think it worked out for the best. I was hurting for the first 30min.s, but once I got into the second tempo effort things felt great. 2-1/2 hours later I'm home warm and fussy.

I know how much you love to see golfer porn, so here you go! Next it will be NASCAR. Which is right up there on the hate list…First we are going to turn left, followed by another left…

Down day tomorrow for riding, Super “G” training at Copper! Can’t wait, there is something like 75plus on a pair of skis. I just got done waxing 3 pairs of skis and enjoying the fumes with a cup of Green Tea. Man I love the smell of ski wax...…I wonder what Goats doing right now?

Road Toad.......

I'm really love piling the miles on. This year I've done ZERO group riding, just suffering alone most of the time and loving it! I'm gone to do a group ride tomorrow though. A team for this bike shop right around the corner has a ride that meets at 10:00am. If I can get up in time :) I'll check it out. I've put about 1200 miles of base in this year already and entered the second week of prep. The "CTS" plan is for a peak in the second week of July (SUPERWEEK)! I can't wait...My third field test and I've seen 20% increase power output over my first, right after the cross season! My coach is looking for another 30%. I think she is nutz, but hay I'll take it! Today was a long ride, it was supposed to be 3 1/2 hours but turn into 5 1/2. I got lost and had to backtrack about 30 miles.

Its a good thing I was loaded up with the goods before my ride. It’s amazing the things you need just to go riding!

Did I ever tell you how much I hate golf? Look at these clowns! What a bunch of pansies! Every time I ride by a golf course I want to yell “ Hay Douche Bag! Can’t you find anything better to do? You fat Pig!” The answer would be “No” with a dumb look from the pantywaist.

I was riding along and noted these funny looking steers. Shouldn’t they be in Texas?

I ride by this guy every couple of days. He’s in the same spot act’n nutz, looking for money. Next time I think I’ll throw him an Orange or a Banana…It could be Russell long lost brother.

After I logged 80 it was time for some fuel to carry me home. A quick triple shot, a bar, and a couple of phone calls and I was headed home for the slowest 15 mile today!
One of the calls I made was for a job in Vail (A job can you believe it?) It looks very promising. I’m meeting with them Thursday to go over the details (money). I hope I’ve not jinxed it! O-well, if I have I’ll just ride…………

Some say..............

Another day, another dollar. I say another day another FLAT! One thing I hate about riding in CO is the (Goathead) thorns. I'm out doing long hill repeats and go in the grass for maybe 15'.....Flat. It sucks, but I could be working right? So, I'll fix it and keep riding.

It's 60plus with blue skies and sunshine.....So what am I doing typing on this Dumb Blog for? Screw it! I'm going riding.......I wonder what Goats doing right now?

Has it been a Week?

Man a week flies by when you are having fun! The backcountry trip was a lot of fun. Tons, and tons of snow! We had to break trail for 9 miles to get into the hut so it was slow going. 9 hours of it ouch! But the next morning it was a "Blue Bird" day.......Sun and Snow! So for the next few days it was waste deep untracked every run.

Break'n trail, Yes those are 90lb packs! Pack it in and pack it out! I must be a mule ot just a jack ass.......

Home Sweet Home! Look at that blue sky!

I can't believe how wasted my legs are right now! Yesterday I just slept and layed around, they still hurt! I'm going to try to right this afternoon and see if I can spin them up....More later. Peace!

Golf Sucks!

Never could under stand Golf. What a pansy sport! Look at these two clowns. Matching pants and everything. I'll bet they drove Black BMW's to the course, have wife's Boddy cuts and are name Bill and Tom. Two pansy playing thier dumb little sport....Why waste 3 hour play golf Bill and Tom. Answer, because their wife's are Hotpoint and Kenmore. They open up and the light comes on........

Nothing else to say today, I'm heading out to do some back country skiing for the rest of the week. It's been dumping in the high country. Should be fun. Some say I should get a job! I say they should get a life........I wonder what Goats doing right now?

MoJo Miles.......

I set out this morning to do some base miles, and I needed to get my Gear in order.

Two bottles of "Mitch's Top Fuel Mix" CHECK!

Three, yes Three count'm "Ohwalla Bars" CHECK! Cliff and Power Bar gave the team the shaft, so I'm use "Ohwalla Bars" and only a $1.00 a bar. The Baron has to love that!

Tube, Tire bars and CO2 inflater. CHECK!

Cell Phone (you never know when some Jack-Ass is going to punch you in the mouth and you need 911 emergency) and House keys. CHECK!

Rudy Project shades. CHECK!

White Socks! CHECK! Yes those are white sock you BASTER! There my new style, just like David Clinger FACE! and that Chic from Team Basis, Freedman "The Fish Face" have you see that? OMFG!

I'm off for a 100 miles of fun..................I hooked up with a couple of local dudes as I was riding past the REI downtown. They were heading out to Bear Creek canyon, so I ask if I could tag along. The wind was brutal today, so the more the marry'er.

Long rolling climbs to get to Bear Creek and the in the canyon it about a 2000 ver to the top. It was a killer loop. Lots of good miles and killer climbs. One I'll have to do again and again........

The descent back into the city was awesome, 20 plus min.s of 40 plus mph. You can get any better then than.

After fighting that wind all day I barely had enough food and "Top Fuel Mix" to last. I was running on empty when I pulled into my home base.

Then was time for some Recovery Drink! Didn't make the 100 mark, I fell short by 9 miles. I just have to ride longer tomorrow!

Dog Daz's

It’s so nice to ride in the warmth! It’s was about 60deg today, so I loaded up the pooch in the kiddy kart and did some tempo work. Doing a hard effort with a 65 lb. Golden dragging behind is one hell of a way to hit max BPM………Rode up and around the reservoir, putting the hurt on any Old Man or Lady that got in my way! One thing I love about cycling is everybody is Lance Armstrong. It just makes me laugh when I’m ride along and some fat dude attacks me on a climb. What the hell, your out riding not racing the Giro!

Speaking of Lance, anybody catch him and his Sweetie on Oprah! I’m no longer a Lance fan. Yes the guy is a great cyclist. But com’on Oprah! The dude is becoming a clown!

I found some pretty cool places in a little town outside of Vail (Red Cliff). The plan if all go’s well is to be out there by March……. Maybe we can put together a Team Wisconsin training camp, so the flatlanders can pump-up their lugs for the upcoming season.

Life is to good to Me!

I should have Skiing like this every week! The Snow was awesome; we did some sic lines at Highlands. Its rates right up there with some of the best skiing yet this year. Also did some Cat skiing witch made for some great “Face Shots”, now that’s how skiing should be done. I forgot my camera so I didn’t get a single picture maybe next time.
Tuesday we stop in a Vail to ski, it turned out to be the “National Brotherhood of Skiers” Week. Was cool to see the “Texas Ski Rangers”, “Jim Dandy Ski Club” and a long list of others on the mountain. They have the coolest name. But they wouldn’t let me join; I guess they have membership standards.
The weather is nice again so we be back on the bike for some good base mile…………I wounder what Goats doing right now?

A little snow

The plan is to ski Vail this afternoon. It snow 10" in the last two day so conditions should good. I can't wait to eat my $20.00 slice of Pizza for lunch. I think that's were they really make their money.
Goats going to a New Doc today. I'll bet he's scared and has to hold his wife's hand through the whole thing!

All Crossed Up!!!!

Well the winter weather is back so I’ve been riding my Cross bike. I just love the ride of that thing. It’s the cheapest bike I own, but the funniest. Maybe that’s it! Bang for the buck. This was the first ride with a short sprint workout in it for the year. I had forgotten how much those mothers hurt. After that is was a long 2-1/2 hour of 147 bpm. The sun was out so it wasn’t too bad. I rode down to the Cherry Creek Lake and did a couple of loops. I haven’t been doing any group rides this spring and I think its help a lot. Having to grind it out on my own all the time makes a big different. My base speed is up and my bpm in down. After my first loop I had wrestle with my back tire again. I’ve fix more flats then “Carters have little Liver Pills” that’s what my dad would say.

I stop in at the Bike Village to get another tube and check out the 05 stuff (O-man the stuff is sweet) and by the time I came out, the sun was gone and the wind was blown like a mother. It was like riding in Wisco!

I fix a little Tea and played on my computer until my tootsies warmed up. I going to head back out to the mountains after I ride tomorrow and ski for the rest of the week. Snowmass, Highlands and Vail are on tap. Plus I was going to ride Red Mountain pass if it’s not dumping to bad. The way I see it if it cold here, why not..I wonder what Goats doing right now?

The Life of a Ski Bum!

You know I'd bitch about life but I can't. The snow is good and the beer is cold! I spent the weekend with some old friends the mountains. Catching up on old times and having some laughs! They really made home sick with their friendship. The thing I’ll always miss are the great people I know and the friendships! I hope those we will always have! But, I’ve still got some mountains to Ski!

Friday we skied over at Keystone, which is always a fun place. It’s like playing a Video game in “Real life” tying to avoid killing someone. Man the place was jammed with people. But how can you bitch? The sunny was out and it was another Colorado “Blue Sky” day. I could have been working! RIGHT, like that’s likely. I’m really starting to like the Retired Life Style! Ski, Bike, SCUBA and Sex when I can find a willing partner. That’s what my friend “J-Rock” says I’m up too. I would order the list a little different, but he is close. I actually went to a business meeting Friday after skiing. Can you believe?

Saturday we headed over to Copper! A little Starbucks, Sunshine and Skiing……. I was liv’n. K-rock had a friend up from Aspen. So it was Sandy (aka KASC), Kris (aka K-rock), her friend and me! Three Chic’s and me, ripp’n it up at Copper. I will say one thing, these girls can rip! LIFE IS GOOD! I should have to be tortures like that everyday!
A little Moe Dixon at JJ’s for the traditional Ski Après and it was another Ski Day in the Books!

Sunday was a day of recovery with the poochy, looking for a place in Vail and the Super-Bore! I’m really starting to dis-like Football. But I’ll save that for another day!

The best Fuel in the Coolest bottle

Fuel and more Fuel!

Not much going on today did a base ride with 3/15 tempo effort in the middle. It was about 60 and sunny with no wind. Prefect riding weather! A friend calls me while I was riding. They are out skiing, so with a lot of arm-twisting. I heading out to ski......got to love it! Maybe a little gate training? We will see.............

Good days and Bad........

Did you every have one of those days? Well today was one. But on the other hand I could be WORKING! Yea Right! After a little food I thought a cross work out would be fun. Right behind my place I've build a 2 mile Cross circuit. I'd do some base laps with a couple of 2x3 efforts in the middle. Should be Fun! Right!......

One for those days Posted by Hello

Two flats later and I'm bitch'n up a storm. Damn "Goatheads".....But then I think what the hell am I complaining about. It's sunny, I'm riding and life is good! So I smile jump back on the bike and have fun in the MUD! 2 hours later and its Time for...
